5 Adventures to Take Your Right to Roam Rucksack On

5 Adventures to Take Your Right to Roam Rucksack On.

How lucky are we to live in New Zealand? This year we want to encourage you to explore our backyard. From the winterless North to the tip of the South, New Zealand is full of epic adventures.

In this blog I am going to tell you my Top 5 Adventures that you can take your Right to Roam Rucksack on. Prepare yourself because this is going to get wild...

1. Spot the WILDlife on the Rakiura Track, Stewart Island.

This remote walk is situated on Stewart Island which is just off the tip of the South Island. It has large population of the native kiwi bird, sandy beaches and rugged forests. The perfect place to go if you want to be undisturbed. The Right to Roam Rucksack is perfect as cabin luggage.

2. Take a trip to the Coromandel and explore Cathedral Cove.

Cathedral Cove is a must do if you are visiting the Coromandel. You can do all sorts of walking tracks one which runs adjacent to the reserve and takes 1.5 hours return. The Coromandel Council recommends taking food and drink with you...which will fit perfectly in your Rucksack.

3. The Pouakai Track on Mount Taranaki will take you close to the clouds.

Living in the Naki myself I couldn't leave out this amazing track! You will walk up the side of Mount Taranaki and will end up with an epic view of the surroundings. You can make this walk as long or as short as you like with 2-3 day hikes available.

4. Visit the blue glacial waters of Lake Tekapo

Tekapo and the whole Mackenzie region is absolutely stunning, it is like something out of a movie...ohh wait it is out of a movie. Lord Of The Rings was filmed on the shores of Lake Tekapo. You can go on plenty of day hikes and make sure to take your Rucksack because you might just stumble onto the lavender fields.

5. Walk on one of Auckland's 48 Volcanos, Rangitoto Island Summit Walk.

No wonder Aucklanders are so fiery..am I right? Just kidding I love to explore Auckland and who knew they had 48 volcanos! Rangitoto is the biggest volcano of them all and the summit walk will take you all the way to the top. You will get to experience epic 360 degree views from the top. It's quite the climb so make sure to make plenty of water in your (you guessed it!) Right to Roam Rucksack.
