Our Story

About Us

Jones and Taylor is an online business and I have been up and running for 4 years. Based in New Plymouth, New Zealand I specialise in luxurious linings for coats and jackets. These gorgeous linings are sourced from Italy, Germany and United Kingdom mainly and are unique.
If you are looking for that 'WOW' factor in lining that will compliment your beautiful coat or jacket then it's worth a look at what we have.
I also have a good range of Oilskin fabrics for Jackets, Coats and Bags. I have the hardware that goes with them too i.e. leather straps, webbing, rivets etc.
You will find a select collection of linens, tencel and hand printed organic cottons because sometimes I just can't resist buying them.
My online business is home based and if you are in Taranaki or visiting please do pop in. Contact me via email mary@jonesandtaylor.co.nz
I hope I have something you may like on my website but if not, keep checking back or better still, sign up to my newsletter

About Me

 Kia Ora,

I'm Mary Jones. Born in New Zealand, lived in Australia then London and now, due to my husbands' work, living in New Plymouth between the beautiful Taranaki Maunga and the vibrant Tasman Sea these past 13 years. I am married to a Welshman and we have two beautiful children, one who has moved back to the UK and living in Scotland and the other on his way back shortly to London.  Don't feel sorry for me, it means going back more frequently, now that we can!!

I am a sewer myself and have been since, well, forever.  I love the creativeness of sewing but also love gardening and cooking. I've recently taken up knitting again and wow.....what a saving on hand knits!  Have you seen the price of a hand knitted jumper lately? I'm saving a small fortune but also loving it. There have been a few un-picks but I'm enjoying getting it right.

My business keeps me busy and it's always nice talking to customers about fabric and their projects. It's heaven.

Anyhoo, thank you for checking out my website. We live in very extraordinary times so keep well, keep sewing and don't forget to take time out for yourself.
